Our Glitter DTF transfers are produced at 1440 DPI using premium water-based inks, hot-melt adhesive powder, and a specialty glitter finish that creates brilliant, eye-catching prints. For the best results, apply transfers using a heat press at 305 to 315°F for 10–15 seconds, allow them to cool completely, and then perform a cold peel.
Unlike standard DTF transfers, which typically use a hot peel, the cold peel process helps ensure proper glitter adhesion and a smooth, durable finish. Glitter transfers perform beautifully on cotton, polyester, cotton blends, tri-blends, and most performance fabrics, with the sparkle appearing especially vibrant on lighter-colored artwork.
Place your order by 1:00 PM CST for same-day shipping. Every transfer is designed to provide a soft, flexible feel while maintaining excellent durability through 50+ wash cycles when applied and cared for properly.
Glitter DTF Transfers: Finish, Application, and Durability
The glitter finish on our glitter DTF transfers comes from a specialty adhesive layer embedded with fine metallic flakes, so the sparkle sits inside the print rather than sitting loose on top. That means the shimmer catches light from every angle without shedding onto hands or garments during handling. Colors stay saturated because the design is printed at 1440 DPI first, then the glitter layer is bonded over it, keeping fine lines and small text crisp under the sparkle.
Application is straightforward and follows a cold peel process. Press the transfer at roughly 305 to 315°F for 12 to 15 seconds using medium to firm pressure, let the sheet cool completely, then peel the carrier film away slowly. The cold peel is what locks the glitter into the adhesive; peeling while hot is the most common cause of patchy sparkle, so waiting the extra few seconds matters. A quick second press with a cover sheet helps set the finish for maximum wash resistance.
For durability, these transfers hold up to 40 or more wash cycles when cared for correctly. Turn garments inside out, wash cold, and skip the fabric softener to keep the glitter bright. They bond to cotton, polyester, and blends, staying flexible so the print moves with the fabric instead of cracking. Ready to build your order? Important Information
Our Glitter DTF transfers are engineered for long-lasting performance and can maintain their sparkle through 45+ wash cycles when applied according to the recommended instructions. Actual results may vary based on garment type, heat press settings, application technique, and laundering practices. Because these variables are outside our control, individual performance cannot be guaranteed. We recommend testing on your intended garment before beginning large production runs or specialty applications.
